Backend Developer #LI-Remote

Focus:

Developing server-side applications, APIs, and databases, while optimizing backend systems for scalability, performance, and reliability in support of insurance industry products and services.

Your role

As a Backend Developer, your main responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:

• Design and develop server-side applications and APIs
• Develop and maintain databases and data models for efficient data storage and retrieval
• Optimize backend systems for scalability, performance, and reliability
• Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration of user interfaces with backend systems
• Write and maintain unit tests to ensure code quality and maintainability
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues to ensure smooth operations of backend systems
• Stay up-to-date with the latest research and technology advancements in the field of backend development.

Your Skills and Experience

As a Backend Developer, your skills and experience will ideally include:

• At least 4 years of experience in backend development
• Proficiency in database technologies such as MySQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL
• Expertise in programming languages such as Python, TypeScript or Node.js
• Knowledge of web development frameworks such as Spring, Django, React or Express.js
• Knowledge of working with API Management technology such as Azure APIM or Mulesoft
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Experience with CI/CD including version control systems such as Git
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in working with Agile methodology
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
