About the team

The Investment Accounting is part of Group Finance and has ownership of sub-ledger accounting and reporting for investments for both Group IFRS and Local Statutory valuations.

About the role

The role is within Investment Analysis team focused on comprehensive accounting assessments and analysis for different financial instruments. As a student in our IA department, you will be involved in the regular activities of the team as well as supporting process enhancements.

Main duties:

  • Preparation of accounting assessments under IFRS
  • Supporting the cooperation with other departments within Swiss Re
  • Analyzing the specific instruments' characteristics
  • Preparation of supporting documentation for month-end activities
  • Completion of ad hoc tasks assigned by the team
  • Participation in the improvements of processes
  • Working with internal, external systems and various software applications

About you

  • University student, preferably Accounting or Finance/Banking
  • Finance/Accounting experience is an advantage
  • English proficient written and spoken
  • Very good comprehension of MS Office (e.g. Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking
  • Teammate with a strong communication skills
  • Flexible and open for new tasks/challenges, willing to learn

Minimum base salary for this job from 7 EUR gross/hour. Our final offer to you will be set up fairly, considering the skills and experience that you bring to the Swiss Re Group.
