How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
The Total Gas Management Representative is responsible for providing service by maintaining, managing and coordinating the delivery, storage, inventory and usage of medical gases for distribution. The incumbent will carry out all responsibilities while promoting Air Liquide's safety and quality practices.
*This role will also be responsible for providing back up coverage as an Inside Sales Representative
- Maintains cylinder gas inventory levels, in consultation with hospitals, by placing and processing orders for additional products in the oracle system or be-connected. Completes all required monthly billing summaries and reports required for billing purposes.
- Monitors and manages cylinder gas inventory. Ensures the separation of empties from fulls and ensures the stock is being rotated. Performs scheduled rounds to maintain par levels at all locations within the facility.
- Complies with all applicable Air Liquide Standards and regulatory guidelines. Complies with all applicable facility guidelines and procedures. Completes assigned tasks as per existing procedure. Makes initial evaluations and obtains proper assistance when confronted with problem situations. Responds to emergency situations to ensure uninterrupted supply of product.
- Conducts cylinder audits at specified intervals. Provides inventory usage reports to the hospital. Participates with the local accounts payable department to ensure accurate billing and timely payment.
- Accountable for the safety of all persons, and general public surrounding facilities. Safety is a condition of continued employment. Actively participates with the local safety department to insure hospital personnel proper handling and storing of medical gas products. Completes the "Monthly Safety and Near Miss Report".
- You may be required to perform the role of quality control designate or alternate and complete tasks related to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for the handling of medical gases, such as the review and sign off of quality records. All necessary training for this role is referenced in Quality Designate Training Matrix, HRM-0003, and must be completed prior to performing the activities.
- Listens actively to customers to advise them on products, prices and availability in order to satisfy their needs. Answers technical questions.
- Receives and processes customer orders (phone, email in, fax, etc)
- Organizes the display of products in the store
- Prepares quotations and standard tender requests.
- Provides support to the local account executives for back-office activities.
- Performs phone "cold-calls" for network customers and "blitz" in some market segments.
- Does post-sales follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction

Are you a MATCH?
- College Degree or equivalent
- Must have a minimum of 2 years related work experience
- Training will be "in-house" and is required for cylinder handling and compressed gas
- Knowledge of record keeping and documentation. Ability to utilize the AS400 system to place orders and monitor cylinder balances. Thorough understanding of cylinder gases and handling methods.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
- MUST be comfortable travelling to Regina (3-4 weeks/year)
- Forklift experience would be an asset
- Welding knowledge will be an asset
- Experience using Google Suite and Microsoft Office applications
