We have an exciting opportunity for a Tax Director. This role is accountable for delivering exceptional client satisfaction, employee satisfaction, and business results for a team of tax professionals.
In this position, you will be responsible for providing tax advisory, planning, and preparation services to clients as an individual contributor while also managing a team of tax professionals. You will lead by example, embodying our company values and ensuring that your team members have clarity on their roles, responsibilities, and expectations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax accounting, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to build and nurture productive working relationships with colleagues and clients. Job Responsibilities
Lead a team of tax professionals to deliver exceptional client satisfaction and business results.
Provide tax advisory, planning, and preparation services to clients as an individual contributor.
Mentor and coach team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork within the organization.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Finance or Business; BS in Accounting preferred.
CPA or EA required.
8 years of tax accounting experience.
12 years of overall (public, corporate, tax) accounting experience.
4 years of people leadership experience preferred, managing 2 or more direct reports.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with ability to build and nurture productive working relationships and establish professional credibility with people across the firm and with clients.
