Tax Operations Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Operations Analyst to join our Global Tax Operations team. As a key member of the team, you will support colleagues from regional and central tax teams with tax reporting, analytics, and data management.

About the Role

  • Support various direct tax processes, including tax reporting, analytics, and data management.
  • Act as a business partner for regional tax managers, assisting in the preparation and review of quarterly tax reporting packages and corporate income tax returns.
  • Contribute to global process optimization and tax projects, driving efficiency and improvement in tax operations.
  • Perform elements of Swiss Re Global Tax processes, including preparation of tax packs, analytical review, tax account reconciliations, and tax payment process management.
  • Manage data delivery for income tax compliance, including data aggregation, preparation of data packages, and liaison with regional tax teams and outsourcing providers.
  • Establish proficiency in Swiss Re finance and IT systems and Tax tools.
  • Undertake ongoing reviews of income tax processes and documentation to identify areas for improvement and efficiency, including internal controls.
  • Liaise with internal finance departments and other stakeholders, participating in tax projects.

About the Team

The Global Tax Operations team partners with regional tax teams to deliver corporate income tax deliverables in various tax jurisdictions. As a Tax Operations Analyst, you will be part of a diverse team that values collaboration, mutual respect, and trust.

About You

  • University degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in a tax function or accounting.
  • Basic understanding of IFRS, US GAAP, and/or local statutory accounting principles is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills, with an interest in information systems, reports, and data.
  • Strong problem-solving, organization, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise and coordinate information across global teams.
  • Enthusiasm, high energy, and a willingness to work in a dynamic environment, embracing new challenges and striving to continuously improve technical know-how.
  • Excellent social skills, open-mindedness, and experience working in virtual teams with people from different backgrounds and cultures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with a willingness to learn new programs, and knowledge of SAP is a plus.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is a must.
