Job Title: Senior Internal Audit Manager

Johnson Controls is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Internal Audit Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Internal Audit function, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness of our internal controls and risk management processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the strategic plan, policies, and efficient audit programs for the Johnson Controls Internal Audit function in the EMEA region.
  • Plan and supervise field audits, activities, and special projects, ensuring timely and effective accomplishment of departmental administrative tasks.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of agile internal audit processes, methodology, and ongoing process improvement.
  • Collaborate with global managers in the global SOX compliance effort for the company and effectively communicate risks and emerging issues to leadership.
  • Manage three team members as appropriate and assist with performance reviews and other managerial tasks.
  • Establish the scope, objectives, and approach to audits applying a risk-based methodology that achieves timely results and high-quality audit deliverables.
  • Coordinate and supervise work performed with independent public accountants.
  • Liaise with business and finance leadership and communicate the status of key projects and initiatives, and audit results.
  • Analyze processes and data and assess the level of compliance with applicable procedures, adequacy of controls, efficiency and effectiveness of operations, and accuracy of reported information.
  • Review and discuss audit reports with Internal Audit management and the management of the audited unit on a timely basis.
  • Propose solutions and formulate recommendations for business improvement, cost savings, and profitability enhancement.
Requirements:
  • B.S. or B.B.A. in Accounting or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years of recent auditing experience with progressive levels of responsibility in public accounting or industry with manufacturing exposure to multinational operations.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with colleagues at all levels of the company.
  • Experience auditing in other countries, particularly in Europe.
Preferred:
  • Advanced degrees related to business and management such as MBA.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, CMA, and CISA, or similar international certifications.
  • Auditing experience in Latin America and Asia Pacific.

If you are relocating to Bratislava to join Johnson Controls, you will be eligible to receive a housing allowance to help you set up your new life in Slovakia.

The gross monthly salary for this position starts from 3,500 EUR per month, plus a monthly bonus that starts after your first 6 months. Please note this is a minimum salary, and our compensation packages are based on your professional experience and qualifications.
