About the Role

Develop and implement Proof of Concepts, Minimum Viable Products/Pilots and operational solutions for the building blocks of Specialty Digital projects. Work and collaborate with developer teams inside and outside SwissRe. Oversee frontend development and drive technology implementation with the development team. Use best practices in Software Engineering and Operations. Work closely with UX, product, architecture and engineering teams in delivering solutions. Do hands-on software development in relevant coding languages.

We develop new analytics and software tools and improve Swiss Re's risk assessment capabilities. You'll enable our business to succeed and contribute significantly to the company's success.

About You

We're looking for enthusiastic individuals who can be effective leaders with functional and operational expertise. You must be a good communicator who builds trust-based relationships within the squad and amongst partners. You should have a Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or related quantitative field. You should have deep knowledge of at least one of the following programming languages: Angular, React, Javascript. You should have experience in software development following agile delivery concepts. You should be a team-player with credibility and working style to build positive relationships and support an open feedback culture. You should be able to communicate sophisticated concepts in a compelling, concise, and simple way. Good written and verbal interpersonal skills in English are a must. You should be able to work independently and proactively.
