Disaster Recovery Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to play a key role in developing and documenting disaster recovery plans for business applications hosted on cloud infrastructure.

About the Role

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that disaster recovery planning adheres to policies, standards, guidelines, and quality assurance requirements. You will coordinate the implementation of disaster recovery plans for all production environments, ensuring that disaster recovery planning and maintenance standards are consistently followed.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain recovery plans by IT application owners, ensuring that disaster recovery is included in project planning tools and procedures.

  • Coordinate periodic rehearsals for data centers, including infrastructure, application, and business unit resources.

  • Collaborate with teams to achieve business objectives, responding to customer expectations in line with urgency levels.

  • Continuously review performance to identify opportunities for service and cost improvement by adopting industry best practices and innovations.

Requirements:

  • Background in IT infrastructure or data center services.

  • Experience in Disaster Recovery/Business Resumption Planning.

  • Knowledge and experience in data center disaster recovery implementation.

  • Ability to manage business relationships and communicate effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • University degree in Computer Science or related field.

  • Understanding of Business Continuity.
