Disaster Recovery Technical Analyst

We are seeking a skilled Disaster Recovery Technical Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in facilitating the development and documentation of disaster recovery plans for business applications hosted on various cloud platforms and data centers.

The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure that disaster recovery planning adheres to policies, standards, guidelines, and quality assurance requirements. This includes coordinating the implementation of disaster recovery plans for all production environments hosted in a data center, ensuring that disaster recovery planning and maintenance standards are consistently followed.

The ideal candidate will have a background in IT infrastructure, data center services, or application development, with experience in disaster recovery/business resumption planning and knowledge of data center disaster recovery implementation. They will also possess excellent communication skills and proficiency in English.

This role involves collaborating with individuals at different levels and interacting with teams to achieve business objectives. The candidate will respond to customer expectations in line with the urgency level and continuously review performance to identify opportunities for service and cost improvement.

1. Coordinate the implementation of disaster recovery plans for all production environments hosted in a data center.

2. Ensure that disaster recovery planning and maintenance standards are consistently followed, and applications are kept up-to-date with the information required for successful recovery.

3. Oversee the development and maintenance of recovery plans by IT application owners.

4. Ensure that disaster recovery is included in project planning tools and procedures, including upgrades and life-cycle refreshes for all hardware and software.

5. Coordinate periodic rehearsals for the data center, including infrastructure, application, and business unit resources.

6. Coordinate issue tracking and remediation plans following each rehearsal.

7. Collaborate effectively with individuals at different levels and interact with teams to achieve business objectives.

8. Respond to customer expectations in line with the urgency level.

9. Continuously review performance to identify opportunities for service and cost improvement by adopting industry best practices and innovations.

10. Provide effective documentation to clearly communicate procedures to other IT personnel.

1. Background in IT infrastructure, data center services, or application development.

2. Experience in disaster recovery/business resumption planning.

3. Knowledge and experience in data center disaster recovery implementation.

4. Ability to manage business relationships.

5. Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English.
